The Penelopiad

Muchmuchmore Theatre (UK)

When those in power make decisions, it is those without power who pay the bloody price. From the land of the dead, Penelope and her murdered Maids tell the tale of her marriage to Odysseus, his 10-year journey home from Troy, and its horrific consequences. Written by Margaret Atwood, the creator of The Handmaid’s Tale, this retelling of The Odyssey from Penelope’s perspective is brought vividly to life through song, dance and dynamic physical theatre.
