Exploring the intricacies of family dynamics, Pulse, a new short play,
invites the audience into the parent/child experience we’ve all found
ourselves in. Daughter Samara reminisces on her relationship with her
brass mother Elinor. Vignettes from Samaras growing up set the scene for
a dysfunctional, but happy family. When Samara decides to move away with
her fiance, conflict arises, and the bond with her mother is put to the
test. Written by Elise Marra, writer of Frankie! The Musical, Pulse
creates dynamic and comedic characters to tackle serious undertones.
