Draft Productions (UK/Türkiye)

‘All of a sudden, a loud noise occurred… And a ringing… Our house was hit by a rocket launcher. That was the last moment I saw my father, us looking at each other from afar.’ Uprooted tells the story of the devastating effects of war and the bonds within a family. Ibrahim and his family flee war-torn Syria, escaping to Lebanon and then to Egypt, before eventually settling in Turkey. Despite extreme hardship, loss and longing, this is piece is about about hope and resilience, adaptation, and the will to live and go on.
