Mommy’s Dead and They Buried Her in Moscow
Nervous Theatre (Montana, USA)
Irina, Masha, and Olya are bored, homesick, and wildly over-educated.
Mom and Dad are dead. Only one thought keeps them going in this remote,
military town: ‘Get the F*@k out of here and back to Moscow!’ A
fast-moving, high-spirited contemporary riff on Chekhov's Three Sisters.
Devised by the company and filmed in the historic Ellen Theatre in
Montana, this adaptation of the Russian classic is a high-spirited
meditation on grief, longing, and (miraculously) hope. Winner of the
Derek Award for Special Merit, Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2021. ‘A spiked
vodka shot wrapped in a production that magnificently captures the
essence of live theatre' (FrontMezzJunkies.com).
