Reckoning
To Move (Jamaica/UK)
This innovative interdisciplinary short film and performance piece
weaves together contemporary lyrical dance, archive footage, animation
and storytelling, to tell the stories of generations of displaced people
in their own words. Created by a collaboration of Liberty EU Portfolio
artists – choreographer and storyteller Akeim Toussaint Buck, filmmaker
Ashley Karrell, animator Benedetta Fasson and writer mandla rae – from
the Reckoning with Refugeedom archives held at the University of
Manchester.
