Providence
Flora Novák (Hungary)
After eating from the tree of the Fruit of Knowledge and leaving Paradise,
Adam dreams that Lucifer shows him the entire history of humanity and its
unavoidable failure. As Adam travels through time, and tries to find ways
to prevent this, the values that dominated society at different times in
history are brought to life with everyday objects. Hungary’s classic
philosophical play Az Ember Tragédiája (The Tragedy of Man) by Imre Madách
is given a new treatment in this original non-verbal object theatre
re-telling with original music, written, directed and performed by actress
Flora Novak with music and masks.
