Vines, the Golden Dome and the Duck

Limpid Theatre with Zoooii Studio (UK/China)

Grimm's fairytale, Foundling Bird, is reimagined from the perspective of the young girl, Lina, in this multimedia theatre-piece. Lina’s physical journey of escape gradually unfolds into an inner confrontation with fear, memory, and identity. Performed in Chinese by two actors, physical theatre is integrated with live, hand-drawn visual projections and sound, in this poetic and immersive reinterpretation. The shifting forest landscapes flow and transform in real time, mirroring Lina’s emotional state and blurring the boundary between external action and internal experience transforms a traditional fairytale into a contemporary exploration of resilience and selfhood.
